CAA architecture office, a key overseas project in the national "one belt and one way" project, has finally defeated many famous international firms by winning the unique design concept and artistic charm of the "city of life" from the sea in the design competition of the Maldives airport economic zone. When completed in the future, it will become the "exhibition window of the 21st century Maritime Silk Road" and the most landmark and representative building complex in Maldives. As the largest coral island country in the world, Maldives has become a world-renowned paradise with its unique natural beauty. Behind the beauty, however, this beautiful island nation has to face the crisis of rising sea levels caused by global warming and the possibility of disappearing from the earth. According to UNEP data, 40% of the greenhouse gases contributing to global warming are generated by large buildings. If we do not change our attitude towards urban construction and primary energy use, the fate of island countries like Maldives will be greatly threatened. Therefore, CAA combines the concepts of tropical culture, marine ecology and sustainable development, gives architecture life meaning, and alleviates the negative impact of traditional architecture on the environment. A bird's-eye view of the sea area from the air shows clusters of coral reefs linking up under the azure blue, like the city of life on the sea floor. The man-made new town sprouted from the sea and extended to the shore. Its overall shape is like a new life growing from the sea to the land along the nerve vein. It is interesting and echoes each other with the coral groups on the seabed. This new building complex, whether in form or in energy use, is integrated with the marine ecosystem of the Maldives as a whole, hence the name Ocean's Heaven. The Architecture Generating Process project is located on the east coast of Hurumare Island, a man-made island in the new capital area of Maldives, adjacent to the Central Park, and the whole area is run through by the central landscape axis of the city center. With the cooperation of Beijing Urban Construction Group and the Maldives Government, a building complex with a total floor area of 100,000 square meters will be built on the planned 60,000 square meters. These include airport service centers, international trade centers, Convention and Exhibition centers, transportation hub ports, shopping centers, five-star hotels, retail stores, and ocean-oriented cultural plazas as well as ancillary infrastructure services. Foundation capacity | SITE LIMITATION makes full use of the capacity of the plot to maximize the size, elevation, and functional requirements of the building design. 3. Ocean Wave OCEAN WAVES The relationship between ocean wave and the central axis of urban central park gives the best response to this building group. Create a brand new urban skyline and become the landmark building of the whole island of Hulu Male. 4. Urban Courtyard | URBAN COUNTRY cuts the volume of the building, creating a central courtyard facing the landscape park and becoming a new urban square. It provides an exciting visual landscape and activity space for all tourists. 5. Island Form | ISLAND FORMS further shapes the architectural form, making the building part of its ecological island when overlooking the Maldives Islands from the sky. 6. Architectural Function | BUILDING PROGRAM introduces architectural function in a layered way, further optimizes building volume, and establishes a strong relationship between aesthetics and function. 7. Ocean Growth | OCEAN GROWTH Ocean grows toward Architectural Islands, revealing multi-dimensional air corridors and gardens, allowing all visitors to excitedly shuttle to every site. 8. Coral Ecology | CORAL GROWTH When the ocean grows on the architectural form, the ecological form will be reflected, at this time, a spatial system symbolizing the coral community begins to emerge and the final results will emerge. 9. Energy System | ENERGY SYSTEM Coral Community Derived from Solar Clean Energy System and Rainwater Collection System. For the whole economic zone to establish a new energy-saving and environmental protection sustainable development system, while they also provide structural support for the reticulated aerial corridor bridge. 10. Ocean Paradise | OCEAN HEAVEN, an urban marine ecosystem linked to Hulu Male Central Park, was born. It provides 70% energy support for the operation of the whole complex, making the building a huge organic life.
